Society of Chest Pain Centers Names Robert Weisenburger Lipetz as Executive Director

COLUMBUS, OH – October 9, 2001. The Society of Chest Pain Centers today announced the appointment of Robert Weisenburger Lipetz as the first executive director.

“Bob will be a tremendous asset as we continue to reduce heart attack deaths and teach early heart attack care, “said Dr. Raymond D. Bahr, Immediate Past President of SCPC.

“I quit my consulting position at the height of my career,” said Mr. Lipetz, “because making money is not enough. I believe in the Society. We are going to save lives, that’s the bottom line.”

Mr. Lipetz has a masters degree in business administration from the Ohio State University and has experience raising funds and managing programs for nonprofit organizations.

In addition, Mr. Lipetz teaches T’ai Chi Ch’uan in Columbus, Ohio, where he resides with his wife Debra and his Springer Spaniel, Becca.

The Society of Chest Pain Centers, established September 18, 1998 in Dearborn, Michigan, exists to support quality chest pain center care and to promote the interests of Chest Pain Center physicians.
