Heart Failure & Chest Pain Center Accreditation Education & Congress
The Society of Chest Pain Centers is a professional organization dedicated to the belief that heart disease can be eliminated as the number one cause of death worldwide. Accomplishing this monumental but noble goal will require ongoing education of every clinical care provider in the total heart care chain in order to ensure that their reactions and procedures give their patients the greatest possible chance to recover with a minimum of damage to the heart.
The Society represents a public heath initiative that addresses the timely assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients experiencing symptoms of possible ACS. It impacts clinical care providers and the community by involving EMS, emergency physicians, cardiologists, critical care nurses and others in the adoption of proven processes and procedures that improve cardiac healthcare and reduce heart attacks as the number one cause of death.
The Society offers education to healthcare professionals on the importance of this systemic approach through:
- Accreditation Educational programs designed to assist facilities in the preparation for Chest Pain Center and Heart Failure accreditation workshops, online training, and open forums.
- The Congress of Chest Pain Centers - the premier educational forum for coronary healthcare professionals in the developing discipline of chest pain management, ACS care, ADHF care, and observational medicine
- Continuing Medical Education courses that provide information and techniques for implementing the Chest Pain Center paradigm as an operational system for the treatment of ACS and AHF patients.
The Society believes that having state-of-the-art procedures in place across the medical universe is the best and only way to succeed against the scourge of heart disease. For this reason we have dedicated ourselves to the global spread of best practices and processes in the care and treatment of the most important muscle, the heart.
